PUBLIC PARTICIPATION HEARING
On Monday, November 6, at 7:30pm at City Hall of San Jose.
The CPUC has finally granted the customers of SJWC a Public Participation Hearing (PPH) for SJWC's Cost of Capital application to be heard in front of CPUC staff. ALL SJWC CUSTOMERS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND. Our voices need to be heard. WEAR A BLUE SHIRT IN SOLIDARITY. If SJWC is successful at increasing their Cost of Capital, this will impact rate increases over the next 3 years. Members of the public who wish to comment at the PPH may address issues related to the quality and reliability of SJWC's services, Basic local service rates, and other issues of concern.

INVESTIGATION
Our Formal Complaint against SJWC has been escalated to the CPUC Consumer Protection and Enforcement Division. They are investigating SJWC’s billing practices and once complete, they will present their finding to the Commission to open a full, formal investigation. The CPUC calls this an Order Instituting Investigation or OII.
