Dear Earth-Lovers,

Please take a moment to read this article called "Lion’s G8 on 8/8" - it is a piece about the 8 billion of us. 🦁🚪 

I didn’t think I’d fall deeper into the rabbit hole of numbers than I did when coming up with that title, but… I was wrong! 🐇 🕳️

Tonight, I just noticed something pretty cool: the sum of the votes coming through Change.org emails now equals those coming from QR code scans -> 137 for each, or 29% in each category. That’s a prime 🏆 balance 🫂, no pun intended!

Also, the petition reached 456 votes - just 44 away from 500! Change.org highlights the numbers, as shown in the photo, and I can’t help but notice the symmetry. (Not all signers choose to have their names displayed, but the last two votes just came in today, on 8/29.)

So, aside from 8/8, there are a few more - unexpected - fun patterns 🤭🤩. 

🎱 Maybe this means, that, finally the ‘curse’ will be broken 🕊️ 🤍.  You see, in the last article I shared  almost a month ago, we were at 430 votes. Back then, I was excited since there was a significant spike in signatures this summer, and while pointing that out, I also hoped I wasn’t going to jinx it… and I kind of did, because the votes slowed right away compared to the previous month!

Still, despite that slowdown, I am grateful for every single signature, and I’m holding onto our common dream of seeing trash cleanups become an Olympic sport one day🏅🌍.
