The decision, announced on June 23, prompted Pararoos coach Paul Brown to launch an online petition and "go public" with his plea for funding, which he believes could cost him his job.
"I just couldn't stay quiet about this, it's a tragedy," he said.
The football federation will now approach both the ASC and the Australian Paralympic Committee to discuss ways to restore funding.
But Mr Brown partly blamed the ASC's decision on the football federation's own funding submission, which he accused of being "biased" and neglectful of Paralympic football. He said the culture within the organisation meant his team was a low priority.
