We are super excited to share that we are just one more meeting away from changing the name of Henry Clay Elementary! Last night, the San Diego Unified School Board rejected the district's proposal of Rolling Hills Leadership for it's racist connotations, lack of transparency in the process, and ethical concerns surrounding the "Leadership" components connection to a third party vendor product (Franklin Covey's 7 Habits). We applaud the board for upholding it's promise as a restorative governing body and we hope they will continue this progress by voting to change the name of our school to bell hooks Elementary School at the Tuesday, April 30 board meeting.
