Overturn the decision to change red bin collection to fortnightly

The issue

Councils decision to change collection of the red bins to fortnightly is unrealistic and based on a survey of 100 homes in a city of 16000+ homes. This sampling is not proportionate and as such a farce. The average family needs a pick up once a week, typical refuse in the red bins with young families are disposable nappies,I don't have a young family but I recognise that this alone would be a big smelly issue. Really council you want families to suffer the stench of bins for a fortnight?

The council have this marvelous idea of a pay for additional pick up system, and then the garbage trucks will drive their regular routes looking for these ticketed bins, really not a cost effective idea. We already pay high rates compared to other cities in the state that are around the same size, yet what do we get in return?....... A reduction in basic services.

Council we ask that you reverse this decision, it is not in the best interests of the city.
