*edit..After getting in contact with the mayors assistant, I have learned that the project for these animals exhibits have not yet been approved. Only that the grounds are approved for the site of the entertainment center “Bama Bayou” to be placed. However we could get them to completely throw out the idea of these animal exhibits, if we get enough signatures to the city council meeting. I, myself will go to the meetings and present our petition at the respective time.... *end edit.... To be plain and simple there is absolutely no reason for there to be a dolphin and sea lion show or exhibit. This is not a rehabilitation sanctuary for these animals. Located not a few thousand yards from where this exhibit will be held, is the intercoastal waterway. Where dolphins could freely move and interact with the surrounding area. There is no reason to house these animals strictly for show. “Bama  Bayou” could still exist and run as a successful business BUT it does NOT need to include an enclosure to house dolphins and sea lions...again a few thousand yards from where they could live in the wild. (Obviously we don’t have sea lions in Alabama, but the point is still the same.)
