Appreciate the support and attendence at the meeting last night May 1st. However, we must continue to voice our opinions on this site being developed again, on May 29th at the next Public hearing.

The proposed treatment plant will be placed 100 feet from Center Hill road behind the tree line. Per the diagrams shared last night, this is directly across from the Elementary schools parking lot. Developers stated they cannot build this further back because of the flood plain and wetlands further back on the property.

The board seemed to be considering if this is the right location, the developers stated that this plan for a treatment facility was determined back in 2004, before most of our neighborhood and school was built. This put their planning into question and the board even stated, why a school was a even built there, if this was the plan for the treatment plant all along?

With 1200 new homes being developed and built in the near area, a new treatment plan is required per the city and board, however, the questions to be discussed next meeting is, if this is the right location? what other locations were looked at? what are the costs for this site vs the other locations? How can the developers make this facility safe or a state of the art facility to ensure no risks of smell affect the school, neighborhood.
