Planning Board Meeting - our impressions (April 24, 2023)
It was a tense meeting, no doubt. There is so much at stake. The Planning Board acknowledged receiving our letters, and pressed the applicants to comply with requests (such as an access road.) The Planning Board members did not refer to specific town codes which would have provided a straight answer regarding quite a few of our concerns. The audience withheld its comments nicely, while following the "no public privilege" modus operandi. Thank you to all who attended, to those who supported the cause from a distance and for your continued positive feedback. We all have made progress in documenting and voicing our legitimate concerns. The developer, his engineer and his lawyer did not receive the approval to build that they had expected to hear at that meeting, they still have to comply with board requests. Please continue to write to the Planning Board and town officials. We do not know what is next in line at this point other than the applicant being asked to provide precise answers on a number of points, though no deadline was provided.
