COMMUNITY VICTORY: Goodman Withdraws Data Centre Proposal

Hi everyone,

We have fantastic news for our community. Goodman has officially withdrawn its proposal for the 12 Mars Road data centre. This decision follows strong community advocacy, hundreds of petition signatures, detailed planning submissions, and sustained engagement with Council and elected representatives. Goodman confirmed it will not proceed with the project after reviewing community feedback and broader planning considerations. 

This outcome belongs to all of you. Your signatures, your voice, your time, and your commitment made a real difference and helped protect the livability of Lane Cove, our school environment, and the future of Blackman Park. All this because our community stood together.

This is a huge win for Lane Cove West. 

While other data centre proposals are still in the pipeline, today’s result proves that strong, coordinated community action works and we’ll keep applying that same focus to the remaining projects.
