CamiNO Twelve Update

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your tremendous support in voicing your concerns about the Camino Twelve Development project. We have reached an impressive milestone of over 300 supporters, the vast majority of whom are local residents directly affected by this development.

Our petition is a powerful tool to present our case to the planning commission and city council. However, we need more signatures and broader support. Please continue to share it with your networks, distribute it to your neighbors, and spread the word on social media. Unfortunately, many of my physical signs have been removed by the city.

In-person support is also crucial. While the meetings may be at inconvenient times, it is vital for decision-makers to hear your voices.

The next meeting with the Design Review Committee is on June 20th. The committee will likely approve the developers' proposal as it technically (quite the stretch) meets the “City’s Design Guidelines”. After that, the project will move to the Planning Commission and ultimately the City Council, where the final decision will be made.

Despite the developers' claims of striving to create the best possible project, the proposed development has significant flaws, including cramped living quarters, poor parking arrangements, and noisy street-facing rooms. Because one unit qualifies as affordable housing, the developers are able to bypass many regulations designed to ensure sensible development. The cash grab is real and its disappointing to see such a flowed project flow through the city chambers.

We can stop this, but we need more voices and in-person representation. Your continued support is essential. Please keep it up and thank you again!!
