Hello Neighbors and Concerned Parents! Thank you so much for signing and supporting this petition and movement to stop the rezoning of our school zone. Your words of encouragement, hours of research, phone calls, texts, and sharing this petition has further reinforced how important our entire community feels about this. Regardless of whether you have school-aged children or not, whether you have been here 3 months or 25 years you decided to purchase or build a home in Palencia, Las Calinas, and Kensington for the sense of community and neighborhood. For the safety, environment, preservation of green space, for the beauty of this area, and for an A-rated school system. 

We have had a very long week since the announcement of our rezone but we have made big strides and Tuesday's school board meeting should have given you reassurance that we will not stop advocating for the best possible education for our children.

Please continue to share and have others sign, especially within the county! Also, please keep in mind that all of St. John's County students have been affected by over-crowded schools, even the brand-new academies. We are simply asking for a stop to this immediate rezoning, an opportunity for dialogue and answers from the school board, and more careful consideration of a long-term solution to our lack of middle school in this District.
