Dear Valued Supporters,

Thank you for your incredible support for the Protect Dufferin petition! Your signatures are making a difference, and now we have a crucial opportunity to amplify our collective voice even further.

This weekend, the Do West Fest is happening, and several of our elected officials from different levels of government will be in attendance! This is a fantastic chance to engage directly with them and share the personal obstacles and hardships you and your neighbours will face if the permanent 24-hour bus lanes on Dufferin Street proceed as planned.

Key politicians expected to be at Dundas West Fest include:

Mayor Olivia Chow (City of Toronto)

Marit Stiles (MPP for Davenport, Leader of the Ontario NDP)

Councillor Alejandra Bravo (City of Toronto)

Julie Dzerowicz (MP for Davenport, Federal)

This is a powerful moment for our community. A personal conversation, even a brief one, can leave a lasting impression and truly help our elected officials understand the real human impact of their decisions.

Here’s what you can do:

Attend the Do West Fest this weekend.
Seek out these politicians (they often have booths or are walking through the crowd).
Share your story directly. Explain how the removal of curbside parking and the 24-hour bus lanes will affect your daily life, your family, your elderly neighbours, or your ability to access essential services.
Remind them that Dufferin is a residential street, and a "one-size-fits-all" solution doesn't work for our community.
This is our chance to show them the face of Dufferin residents and why a balanced solution, like Time of Day Bus Lanes, is essential.

Let's make sure our voices are heard loud and clear.

Thank you for your continued dedication to protecting our neighbourhood.

Sincerely,

The Protect Dufferin Team
