To everyone who signed this petition, knocked on doors, showed up to council, and refused to be dismissed;

Thank you.

We fought together in 2025 and it mattered.
Right now, that record is about to matter more than ever.

Here's what happened.

In 2025, we proposed an express bus on the 7 Bathurst corridor as the better alternative to rush hour parking bans. We brought TTC's own data to the table showing minimal boardings before St. Clair. We said: run an alternating express from Bathurst Station north, first stop St. Clair, and better transit results will be had without destroying the only curb-side parking on a street with no laneways.

They said no.
They took the parking.
They locked us out of the Working Group.

This week, Commissioners Josh Matlow and Dianne Saxe - the same councillors who oversaw all of that - filed a motion at the TTC Board. The motion is called TTC15.17.

It requests a feasibility study for a 7 Bathurst Express Bus.
The same express bus, the same data, the same corridor.
Filed as their own, seven months after they told us it wasn't possible.

We are not here to be angry. We are here to finish what we started.
The TTC Board meets on June 3rd, 2026 and we will be there and we are asking for three things:

1. Parking restored
If the express bus can do the job, the bans that replaced it must be removed.

2. A seat at the table
We were excluded from the Working Group; that ends now

3. Weekend parking back first
Weekends are the lifeblood of this corridor and should never have been touched

Here's how we can use your help right now:

Post it, text it, send it to anyone who cares about Bathurst or about how this city treats the communities it's supposed to serve. The story is too clear to ignore - we just need people to see it.

📌 If you're a Bathurst resident or business owner
Submit comments, speak up, show support for the residents and small businesses

📌 Show up June 3rd; if you can.
The TTC Board is a public meeting. Numbers in the room send a message that no written submission can.

We put the express bus on the record before anyone else did; now it’s time to take back what is rightfully ours.
