From Karl Aittaniemi The ICC Director Of Standards
Note: I Added Helpful Comments And Links To His Announcement
Interested Parties to the OSMTH Committee:
The next scheduled meeting of the OSMTH committee to develop new ICC 1215 is scheduled for Wed 6/4/25 at 2 pm CT and will continue on a two-week interval until all public input comments are considered by the committee. Please see the meeting link below.
This meeting will continue the consideration of the comments received from the posting of the draft for initial public input which concluded on Nov 15, 2024.
Note: The draft is the first draft of the standard that went out for public comment, and the draft with public comments is what we are discussing now and the committee is voting on, but it starts at chapter one, it does not include changes to definitions that have occurred, that is why I included a link to the March 19, 2025 meeting notes, because it shows the definition of the tiny house without the chassis. The definition in the first draft included the chassis in the tiny house definition.
The public input agenda with current committee action is posted to the committee website.
The comments will be addressed in order unless otherwise specified in the upcoming meetings.
Other Business: There was a request to discuss the results of the April 2025 ICC Committee Action Hearings as it relates to referencing the ICC 1215 standard in the I-codes. This topic will be addressed at the next meeting after voting has concluded on the Chassis definition in comment 02-03-2.

It is important that we have more interested parties participate in these meetings.
I hope you take the time to listen to the 10 minute video to listen to all the opposition of the Small Residential Unit.
