Today reporters from ITV Meridian visited Russell’s Equestrian Centre.  Queenie was feeling a little shy but Carol Boulton, joint proprietor of Russell’s stepped in to explain the issues.

Queenie arrived with a maggot infestation, nasty sore lesions and scarring on her legs due to feather mites and chronic progressive lymphoedema. She had also been ridden badly and handled roughly in previous homes.

We have successfully treated and are now managing her legs. Queenie didn’t like having her sore legs treated very much to start with, but has learned to trust people again and is now good to handle. She is quick to learn when being ridden and will soon be ready to start work in the school with lower-level riders.
