After a very disappointing Desert View Village planning commission meeting the votes swung the other way.

Some of the discussion was directed towards the types of commercial activities allowed under C2 commercial zoning. There are 200 types allowed, whereas the original plan was only a C1 zoning with 10 types.

There are a lot of types of shops on that list that you wouldn't want near schools and kids, but somehow that was all ignored, and they voted for the zoning change.

But it's still not too late and we would like to invite all of you to attend the City of Phoenix Planning Commission meeting tomorrow November 7th at 6pm.

You can attend in person or virtually and you can still register to speak or donate your time to another person (deadline shows as yesterday, but you can still register).

This case is showing on the agenda as 3 items : GPA-DSTV-2-23-2 and Case GPA-DSTV-3-23-2 and Case Z-39-23-2. Selecting 1 or all 3 to you wish to speak to.

Let's hope that this committee will listen and understand that there is plenty pre-approved commercial zoning available around Desert Ridge to accommodate this project.
