The New Palestine Town Council meeting had an incredible turnout! Dozens of people showed up in support of our reptiles and several people of all ages were brave enough to approach the podium and speak out. Your signatures in this petition were handed to the Town Council, and your demands were read aloud, ensuring your names and voices were seen and heard. The council was incredibly receptive to feedback and expressed that they have learned a lot from the attendees. Together, we all made a difference, as the New Palestine Town Council voted unanimously against the Ordinance revisions, and the current ordinance banning exotic animals has been put on hold indefinitely. This means that these draconian restrictions are denied, and the ordinance is back at square one. Together, we can start from scratch to create a new ordinance that reflects the interests of our community! Join us in the next town council meeting to help craft this new ordinance on our own terms. Council meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 7pm at New Palestine Town Hall.
Thank you all for your invaluable contribution that has truly made a meaningful difference in our community!
Best,
Amadeus Wagner
