After repeated calls and letters to Chair Loomis, Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, asking for a brief meeting, we have received her answer. Not just once, but twice! Lois Allen, spokesperson for Chair Loomis answered our very cordial letters requesting a meeting with the following reply: From: Lois Allen, NWIFC Ref: Responding to your request    The issues you raised should be brought to the attention of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.    Thank you.   Lois Allen NWIFC I replied by re-stating that we HAVE talked to WDFW Senior Leadership and Director Unsworth told us that he supports open meetings, but the Tribes are prohibiting public oversight. I also asked Chair Loomis to re-consider my request for a brief meeting, given her statements of trust building and cooperation. I received the very same reply from Ms. Lois Allen. THE VERY SAME REPLY, REPEATED; “TAKE IT TO WDFW!!” Such an arrogant and haughty response let us know that Chair Loomis is letting WDFW run interference for her and apparently she answers to no one! I’ll let you draw your own conclusions if you still believe the Treaty Tribes are truthfully interested in “cooperation and trust building” as Chair Lorraine Loomis states in her words. If they don't honor what they state in public, imagine what's going on in the "Secret Meetings!" Maybe a few letters and calls to Chair Loomis might be in order?
