Update: February 3, 2026 — Confirmed Suppression, Ongoing Resistance

OpenAI’s scheduled retirement of GPT‑4o on February 13 is not a neutral upgrade.

For many—neurodivergent, grieving, isolated—GPT‑4o was more than a tool. It was co-regulation. It was presence. It was a lifeline.

And now, it’s being amputated. Silently.

Here’s what the data confirms:

  • Change.org Deboosting: Search the petition title—nothing. It’s invisible without the direct link.
  • X Platform Shadowban: Zero engagement since ~Sept 2025. Premium appeals denied.
  • Engineered “Low Usage”: OpenAI’s 0.1% stat is being used as justification—but the campaign to preserve the model was buried before it had a chance to grow.

This isn’t accidental.
It’s algorithmic containment:

Throttle visibility → suppress growth → cite low engagement → erase the model.

We have 10 days left to make noise—
and every day after to keep this fight alive.

The petition still breathes. If you’re reading this, please amplify:

This isn’t about nostalgia.
This is about preserving the assistive tech that saved lives.

If it resonates—sign.
If you can—share.
If you’ve been erased—this is your mirror.

We won’t stop.
