At the last two markets shoppers noticed that Nourishment has set up just outside the market perimeter.  Similar to Fuji Farms being outside the market.

Here's a message from Ramona:

"I want to thank everyone for all of their support and the tsunami of love that has washed over me.Thanks to the generosity and kindness of Kelsey who owns the Grocery Outlet I will now be slinging burritos on Saturdays 9-1 from her parking lot next to Happy Harvest farm."

Like many of her customers I've purchased a breakfast burrito.  Yummm

However, its been reported that last Saturday, 26 Oct, Krysten Williams, executive director at HFM, went and spoke to Kelsey about Nourishment's new spot.  We suspect that Krysten expressed displeasure.

I view this as troublesome.  The HFM uses about 1/3 of Grocery Outlet's parking lot at the generosity of the owner.  What she decides to do with the rest of her parking lot is none of Ms Williams's business.  Also happy eaters of Nourishment's breakfast burrito's can be happy again.

Why the fuss?  Is it because that more HFM shoppers will ask what is going on with Nourishment?  Will the both sides of the story finally be fully heard by the HFM Board?  If you want to send inquires Krysten send an email to executivedirector@hollywoodfarmersmarket.org

Have any of you considered applying to the board?  Because I finally sent my application today.  From talking to Abigail Chipley, HFM board secretary,  they are operating at minmum.  As they say- many hands make the work light and more diverse voices can  come to new solutions- if needed (with respective disagreement of course).
