Scott Nelson took advantage of the mayor’s seat being empty and filed a (late, not on the nights agenda) notice of motion for reconsideration to re discuss safe consumption sites in Williams Lake. It will be up for discussion again on November 5th. He’s getting the public riled up online with a constant flood of stigmatizing posts, comments, and misinformation. They’re (his social media followers) are threatening to storm the meeting, throw rallies, run over people who use drugs, etc. It’s vile, but not at all surprising coming from who it’s coming from. Please continue to show your support, and share the petition to those who haven’t had a chance to sign yet. Thank you to everyone who’s signed, shared, donated, and stood with us to this point. Another great way to show your support beyond those things is to write your own letter to mayor and council! Tell your stories! The more voices we have the harder it is for them to drown us out!
