Mae trigolion Rhydaman wedi colli eu banc olaf ac mae llawer o bobl bellach wedi eu gadael heb fynediad at wasanaethau ariannol hanfodol. Rydym yn galw ar LINK i gymeradwyo hwb bancio a sicrhau nad yw Dyffryn Aman yn cael ei gadael ar ôl.

👉🏼 Ar ôl arwyddo, dilynwch y ddolen i adael sylw ar sut mae’r penderfyniad i gau Lloyds wedi effeithio arnoch chi.

Residents of Ammanford and the wider Amman Valley urgently need access to face-to-face banking services following the closure of the town’s final bank branch, Lloyds Bank on Quay Street in January 2026.

The loss of in-person banking has created serious challenges for local residents, businesses, and vulnerable members of the community. Many people cannot rely on online banking, while poor digital connectivity makes mobile services unreliable. Elderly residents, cash-reliant businesses, and those without access to transport are particularly affected.

Ann Davies MP, Cefin Campbell MS and Adam Price MS alongside local representatives from Plaid Cymru, are calling for a dedicated banking hub to ensure continued access to essential financial services.

Despite clear local need, LINK has determined that Ammanford does not meet its population criteria for a banking hub. These rigid thresholds fail to reflect the realities of rural and post-industrial communities and the continued reliance on face-to-face banking.

We call on LINK to:

  • Reassess Ammanford’s eligibility for a banking hub
  • Carry out meaningful engagement with local residents and businesses
  • Visit the town to understand the community’s needs
  • Ensure fair access to cash and in-person banking services

Access to banking is essential for financial inclusion, local economic activity, and community wellbeing. Ammanford deserves fair and reliable access to these services.

Mae trigolion Dyffryn Aman yn wynebu diffyg mynediad brys at wasanaethau bancio wyneb yn wyneb ar ôl i fanc olaf Rhydaman, Lloyds oedd wedi ei leoli ar Stryd y Cei, gau ym mis Ionawr 2026.

Mae colli gwasanaethau bancio wyneb yn wyneb wedi creu heriau difrifol i drigolion lleol, busnesau, a phobl bregus o fewn y gymuned. Yn ogystal â’r ffaith bo’ llawer o fobl heb fynediad at wasanaethau ar-lein, ma’ cysylltedd digidol gwael yn gwneud bancio symudol yn anodd neu’n amhosibl i nifer o fewn y gymuned. Mae hyn yn effeithio’n arbennig ar drigolion hŷn, busnesau sy’n dibynnu ar arian parod, a phobl heb gysylltiad trafnidiaeth reolaidd.

Mae Ann Davies AS, ynghyd â Cefin Campbell AS, Adam Price AS a chynrychiolwyr lleol Plaid Cymru, yn ymgyrchu dros sefydlu hwb bancio yn Rhydaman i sicrhau bod trigolion yn parhau i gael mynediad at wasanaethau ariannol hanfodol.

Er gwaethaf y galw amlwg gan y gymuned, penderfynodd LINK nad yw Rhydaman yn bodloni’r meini prawf poblogaeth ar gyfer hwb bancio. Mae’r trothwyon caeth hyn yn methu â mynegi realiti trefi gwledig ac ôl-ddiwydiannol a’r ddibyniaeth barhaus ar wasanaethau wyneb yn wyneb.

Rydym yn galw ar LINK i:

  • Ailasesu cymhwysedd Rhydaman i gael hwb bancio
  • Ymgysylltu’n uniongyrchol â thrigolion a busnesau lleol
  • Ymweld â’r dref i ddeall anghenion y gymuned
  • Sicrhau mynediad teg at arian parod a gwasanaethau bancio wyneb yn wyneb

Mae mynediad at wasanaethau bancio yn hanfodol i gynhwysiant ariannol, gweithgaredd economaidd lleol, a lles y gymuned. Mae Rhydaman yn haeddu mynediad teg ac adnoddau dibynadwy i’w bobl.
