Thank you so much for signing this petition and showing your support for the valuable OVC Avian and Exotics Service. Thanks to your support, news of the closure was shared by Guelph Today and CTV Kitchener!

Unfortunately, despite the huge response from students, staff, faculty, and the community to the news of the closure, no response has come from the OVC Dean or leadership team. Two weeks have passed since the University resumed operations after the holidays, so the lack of response is certainly disappointing.

Please keep sharing this petition and keep up the momentum! Perhaps they are hoping that support will fizzle out if they ignore it long enough. Many have asked me what more they can do - if this issue is important to you, I also urge you to write to Dean Wichtel directly and explain why you believe in preserving the OVC Av/Ex Service.

Hopefully we will receive an update from OVC soon.
