We are living in a digital-first world. From online shopping to online banking, we can now use our mobile devices for almost everything we do.
However, insurance documents and proof of insurance, like a pink slip, are only available in paper form in Ontario. This is inconvenient for consumers who are increasingly choosing to conduct their transactions online, whether it be banking or shopping. Insurance Bureau of Canada is recommending changes to Ontario law to provide Ontario residents with the option to receive digital insurance documents they can use on their mobile devices.
Insurance Bureau of Canada recommends that:
