In the last 2 years, more specifically this year, the local Bear population has been on the rise in Ontario. Food sources are down with the unpredictable weather during the spring and summer months causing Bears to find alternate sources. Garbage containers, BBQ's, smelly compost containers, and even residential homes have become those alternate sources, putting our children, friends, and loved ones in danger. 

Reintroducing the Spring Bear Hunt & Bear Relocation Program funding has many functions, but the most important being the safety of individuals. 

Please sign this petition in hopes the Ontario Government will seriously look at the Bear issues in Northern Ontario and reintroduce measures such as funding the Bear Wise program for Bear relocation, a permanent Spring Bear Hunt, and educational programs on how to deal with nuisance Bears.
