One Grove
Mar 20, 2022
Miami’s representation will be decided this Thursday, 24 March at 2:30 at City Hall. You can still influence the result.
The meeting agenda states “no member of the public may address the City Commission during this time” and “no input from anyone is needed”—a rare constraint.
We strongly recommend that you influence your group members and friends to:
- Overwhelm online public comments prior to the meeting. No later than Wednesday noon, 3/23 is recommended. Public Comment Form (also linked at tinyurl.com/OneGroveComments )
- Unlimited online public comments are allowed. There is no limit on time, words or number of your online comments. Use your best effort to win the day. Numbers matter. (Need help collecting your thoughts? Consider visiting KeepCoconutGroveTogether.blogspot.com for notes and information.)
Current situation:
A last-minute disagreement between Mr. Diaz de la Portilla and Ms. King prevented closure at the prior meeting.
That delay enables Mr. Carollo to re-engage in the debate, and for Mr. Reyes to backtrack.
No one knows what will happen now and all outcomes are possible.
Calls to action:
- Overwhelm online Public Comment Form
- Recruit others to comment online.
- Share widely.
- Consider financial support of the One Grove legal campaign as appropriate for your circumstances. www.gofundme.com/f/KeepCoconutGroveTogether
- Accept the thanks of your neighbors for helping our shared future.
