Dear Signers,

If you want instant gratification skip down to ACTION OPPORTUNITY, otherwise read below:

For all the hope placed on the Biden Administration, where it concerns the North Slope of Alaska, that hope strictly spells BETRAYAL.
On the East side of the Alaska Pipeline:
The "Inflation Reduction Act" removed protection for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Protection which was included in the original bill that was morphed into the Inflation Reduction Act. Nice name for an "environment" bill.
On the West side of the Alaska Pipeline:
The Biden Administration has approved the massive oil extraction Willow Project.

The driving force of these two betrayals is the Alaska Pipeline. As long as that conduit that split Alaska in two remains viable, there will continue to be pressure from big oil to fill it. As, if it is not fully flowing, it is not generating a return on the investment made to build it. Corporate America hates an asset not returning on investment. Especially when a bunch of "tree hugging young people, who don't understand capitalism, nor geopolitics of oil" are the ones preventing it.
There is another investment requiring returns, POLITICIANS! If the oil is not flowing, then a slew of political campaign investments from the White House to the Senate and House to the State Capitol in Juneau are not returning on investment.
The sad situation is that our votes at the polls in this system, truthfully, are out-invested by Corporate America. Politicians are Big Oil, Assets.
The only solution for all of us who care about maintaining these huge unspoiled incubators of biodiversity intact, is to support groups that are waging court battles that may stop the destruction.
Ironically, we might have a win if we unite with one strong loud voice and demand that the Biden Administration make good on their consolation prize offering. To mitigate the Willow Project Destruction by providing protections for other areas of Alaska. We can use the Willow Project Debacle to demand from Joe Biden that he give permanent protection to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Meanwhile we must contribute to the court battles being waged to save the conveniently named 23 million acres of wild habitat, known as the National Petroleum Reserve Alaska(Willow Project). Strange how titles work, name the largest incubator of biodiversity in the country a National Petroleum Reserve.

ACTION OPPORTUNITY

I urge to go to the White House contact page and demand Joe Biden make good on his promise, and give PERMANENT PROTECTION to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge:

And please contribute to the legal battles being waged to stop the Willow Project by NRDC and The Center for Biological Diversity:
