You are invited to join our event on Saturday 13th July, to support us to fight against the unjust system of NHS charging migrants and refugees, to learn about all of our rights and how we can build an NHS that is truly free for all. Join us and register for the meeting now!

This year has really been amazing! First, we were nominated for the ‘David and Goliath’ award from SMK foundation, and which we WON. And now, we are hosting a public meeting for an NHS for everyone on the 13th of July 2024, from 2 - 4pm, at the Redbridge Central Library in Ilford. At the meeting, we will...

• Share our experience about the difficulties we faced due to an unfair system of NHS charging, and share the achievements we had in our journey and how we won them! 
• Hear from health workers, local campaigners about the impact of border controls in the NHS, and how when we work together we can fight back.
• Share expertise and practical tools for resistance and discuss how we can change this unjust system for migrants and refugee communities!
• Learn about the new Patients Not Passports toolkit which can help us all learn our rights and how we can support each other 

This weekend, we also organised a ‘Justice for Omisha’ campaign stall at Ilford town centre to speak to members of our community, and gave our flyers and invited people to join us. The public showed a very positive response towards the campaign and many came forward to support us. They showed concern for our family’s situation and told us how unfair the Government's hostile environment policy is for migrants and refugees. They also shared the stories of the unfair policy of NHS charging to their family members, relatives and close friends that were also charged by the NHS. Some even volunteered to hand out flyers and gave us contact numbers and connections who can help us if anything happens and to support our campaign further in the future. 

We appreciate all the support that we have received, and we are looking forward to seeing all of you in the public meeting on 13th July!
