On September 11, 2021 at approximately 5:15 pm a little over an hour after a home OSU football game, shots rang out near Drinko hall on OSU campus.  A buckeye alert was sent out, buses stopped leaving students stranded.    We have asked nicely, begged, and then demanded that President Johnson meet with a group of parents to reassure us that student safety is one of her priorities'.  She has refused. 

You the board of trustees recently awarded her a $263,000 bonus based on meeting five priorities: OSU's Covid 19 response, accessing executive leadership, carrying out Ohio State's "Time and Change" plan, presidential engagement and working for racial and social justice.  In our opinion, she has failed miserably at presidential engagement and executive leadership.   

Moreover, shouldn't student safety and protecting her students from gun violence be a priority?  What will it take to make student safety her and your top priority?  How many more burglaries, robberies and shootings WILL IT TAKE?!!!  You are the second largest employer on all of Ohio.  You have power and influence- use it to redirect resources to OSU!!  It's time for you to step up!
