We, the citizens of Ohio, propose an official designation of Ohio as "The Yogurt State." Long a center for dairy production and industry, Ohio deserves better than the lowly buckeye. 

Dairy farming families milk more than 261,000 dairy cows on about 2,200 dairy farms. In an average year, these cows produce approximately 650 million gallons of milk. (Drink-Milk.com)

Food and agriculture is also the No. 1 contributor to Ohio’s economy, and farming provides one out of every eight jobs in Ohio. (Ohio Livestock Coalition) 

While Wisconsin might be "The Dairy State," yogurt is the highest form of dairy and The State of Ohio is the cream of the crop.

Henceforth, by the will of its people, Ohio will be forever and officially known as "The Yogurt State."
