Making energy bills easy – Let’s make our energy bills simple to understand

The Issue

Energy bills are too complicated, which means most customers don’t understand what they’re paying for, and are less likely to do anything about it (either by complaining, switching  to a new tariff or finding a new supplier) either.

Over 17 million households are on rip-off ‘standard variable tariffs’, paying over £5.5 billion more for their energy than they need to. That's why we're calling on energy firms to provide simpler customer bills to help UK households stay on top of their finances.

I’m delighted to share this vision with comparethemarket.com. However, we also need your help to make this a reality. Join the petition and help us make bills easy to understand and fit for purpose.
