Thank you for your continued support for the placement of a Name Day for Nipsey Hussle.

As I stated in my previous update during the month of July there would be countless meetings and that much more push back.

I would like to say that I had graceful meeting with an official from the Mayors Office to discuss details of community events and Nip’s Name Day. This couldn’t have been possible without your support.

Furthermore, a second meeting with the office of Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson was set to be scheduled. This unfortunately will no longer be the case. As discussed in our first meeting with the Mayors Office official, as a matter of the upmost importance is why for the foreseeable future a hold will be placed on encouraging a Name Day. Below you will find a direct response from the office of Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson.

Council District 8 is continuing to honor his life and legacy but we will be waiting to do any major events until the timing aligns with his family's desires. At this time we do not currently have any events planned...”

In light of this news I would like you all to continue loving and inspiring as Nipsey did. To respect the families wishes, as I fully support. Understand that although deserving there is a time and place for everything and every moment.

This page will remain open. Although, please do not continue to contribute any funds. I greatly appreciate everyone who has contributed, everyone who has signed, everyone who has shared, everyone who has simply viewed the petition and thought ‘wow this is great’. It will be great, when it all aligns.

Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson’s Office has worked closely with Nipsey’s family in the past and I am confident that he and his team has the family’s and his legacy’s best interest!

All my love fellow Husslers.
