Teenagers being tried for manslaughter.

Two teenagers who killed a pensioner by throwing a firework into his east London home are facing jail.                                                                                                                         

Robert Price, 76, died following a fire at his home in Oval Road North, Dagenham, on 27 July 2024. A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted manslaughter at the Old Bailey earlier this week.

Last week I joined animal welfare, veterans and children's health charities for an important meeting with Business and Trade Minister Justin Madders.
It was very productive and the government are keen to listen to campaigners and take our concerns on board. I will continue to push for the provisions laid out in my Fireworks Bill to be adopted."
