We still need signatures on gov petition..if we are to get a debate about licensing. BUT the Government are making steps in the right direction. The latest release from OPSS re fireworks has admitted that PEOPLE and ANIMALS need to be protected from HARM by fireworks. 

They are also advising use ONLY around traditional celebration dates and asking that users advise their neighbours ( well that bit is old) but the keep to traditional dates is new and that they actually say about people being harmed. 

As far as this goes it is good, I still think legislation is the way forward but baby steps....
