Two important things you can do this week:
- Make a comment (in person or by phone) at the next NJ Transit Operations and Customer Service Committee meeting this Friday, May 27 at 9:00 AM. Agenda and Details.
- Take the NJ Transit Rail Customer Survey and tell them you want the option of a mask car on board trains and why (there will be a text box for additional comments towards the end of the survey where you can write it in). Visit https://www.research.net/r/RailS22?ID=WS to fill it out. If you provide your contact information, you will be entered for a chance to win a monthly pass or $100 gift card.
It’s important for the NJ Transit board and staff to hear from as many of you as possible about why the mask car option is important to you, particularly with the current COVID-19 surge. Both the survey and public comments are important ways of engaging them.

If attending the NJT committee in person: The meeting will be held this Friday, May 27 at ONE PENN PLAZA EAST – 9TH FLOOR – BOARD ROOM – NEWARK, NJ. Make sure you arrive early to allow sufficient time to get through the security screening.
Finally, please reach out to your local, State and federal representatives and urge them to support the mask car program as well. If you have reached out and haven’t heard back, be sure to follow up with them.
