Evening everyone, 

I am sure by now you will have all had the update that Highparks, Higham Surgery will be closing its doors in Spring 2026. 

I am however truly proud of our community and how we all came together when we needed to, we all worked hard and played our part in saving our healthcare provider within our village. 

Lauren Sullivan has been continuously involved in the campaign, from January 2025 and has today posted an update on social media that I wish to share with you. 

‘Update on Higham GP Practice: 

Today I had a positive and constructive meeting with the NHS Kent & Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and their new CEO and chair of the board. 

They are looking at a number of options with the aim to bring about a local solution for Higham in the near future, as well as assessing and finding a long-term sustainable solution.

I will continue to work with the ICB to help find a solution, with further updates to follow.’
