We are environmental science students at Oakland Technical High School, working to pass a resolution through the Oakland School Board that requires all OUSD students graduate climate change literate. Climate change literacy entails a basic understanding of the science behind climate change as well as an understanding of how this affects one's daily life. With this knowledge students can take action in their own lives and larger communities to mitigate the effects of climate change. By signing this petition, I am saying that I support this resolution being passed.
