In response to a lawsuit against OAS, Ann Dunn posted this defensive statement on its website. These officials just mouth these things believe us but go there and the reality will sinks in. Her Deputy Director Benjamin Winkleblack was asking Katmandu recently why friendly stray cats and kittens need to be turned in there. Why? Because OAS is an "animal shelter", has a policy to be an "open admission" shelter and we taxpayers pay them good salaries to help these animals that is why. This guy got hired there asking such ridiculous questions?
Here in her letter she claimed:
"OAS now hosts monthly veterinary clinics to support pet guardians who are experiencing homelessness. ACOs now regularly schedule animals for veterinary care at OAS, and provide food and other supports, to keep animal and human families together. "
She and Benjamin Winkleblack sure forgot about that in being unkind to those 3 sick kittens. Wait till we post a new petition about another sweet friendly cat they both knowingly killed there rather than let her be adopted.
Then why she failed to help Katmandu with three sick kittens if OAS is claiming to be "supportive" to animals and their guardian in need?
