NZQA Should Allow Mock Exam Resit

NZQA believes the purpose of a derived grade "is to ensure that no student is disadvantaged in achieving to their full potential due to exceptional circumstances." Personally, I think this is a brilliant idea as no pressure is put on NZQA, students and teachers are willing to put in the hard-yards in this harrowing and busy time, and it allows a fairer and more equal chance for students to be assessed on the topic to the best of their abilities!...NZQA disagrees believing this has the potential to disadvantage some students. Their stance on this is completely ridiculous and it doesn't look like they're taking the perspectives and best interests of their students into consideration! I know that NCG was not the only school considering mock exam resits with many colleges in the affected areas having the same mindset so I urge you to share this petition on to students (and perhaps teachers) in schools that were considering mock exams to be resat.
