NYRA is making an additional payment to BEST for this year that will make it possible to resume operation of the backstretch clinic at Saratoga Racecourse within the next two weeks. Our work of advocacy will need to continue. We will be watching to make sure that future budgets for NYRA and NYTHA include funds that are adequate to continue the services that BEST provides to backstretch workers.
