Bikes Off Sidewalks - Stop Dangerous Riding!
The Pedestrian Safety Committee and our new initiative Bicycles off Sidewalks Initiative (BOSI) is grateful for your signatures and shares. On May 17th, we are on the agenda for a hearing with Community Board 4’s Transportation Planning Committee. Obviously, dangerous bike riding isn’t limited to neighborhoods within CB4‘s purview, but we must start somewhere.
We’re looking to build our network of supporters/volunteers. To that end we have created this Google Form to identify people who want to get more directly involved. We’re particularly interested in short video testimonials from people who have been directly impacted by either bikes on sidewalks, mopeds, and scooters riding illegally on the sidewalk or in the bike paths. The intention is to compile these stories into a video the decision-makers can’t ignore.
