In response to the MTA’s announcement that they will shutter the Montague Street tunnel – a main artery connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan for repairs beginning this Friday evening – Speaker Quinn and Councilman Gentile have successfully brokered a deal with City Hall and the New York City Economic Development Corporation to make available a temporary ferry for southern Brooklyn residents in order to mitigate the impact of the closure and ease commutes. The $2 ferry will take riders from Sunset Park to Wall Street in 15 Minutes. Starts on Monday!
