If nurses cannot thrive, patients cannot be safe. As we stand at the crossroads of this crisis, we must choose to protect and empower nurses, lest we jeopardize our entire healthcare system.

Unsafe nurse-to-patient ratios alarmingly risk lives. Infatuated with cost-cutting, healthcare systems overlook the most invaluable asset—those who serve at the frontline, tenderly nurturing life. Fair wages remain an aspiration, disconnected from the reality of their essential role and the overwhelmingly demanding logistics of their everyday work.

Action is not only necessary but inevitable. We demand the urgent introduction of legislation mandating safe minimum nurse-to-patient ratios to protect patients and ensure nurse well-being. Further, we advocate for fair, just, and competitive salaries that appropriately reflect the critical and tireless work nurses perform. Lastly, it's time for nurses to have a definitive voice in healthcare's decisions and transformations. Their insights, expertise, and compassion are indispensable as we shape a sustainable future for healthcare.
