We have lost 4 koalas in in 13 days on Appin Rd
We are calling for a fair deal for our beautiful disease free koalas and other unique wildlife in the Macarthur region we want under and over passes and wildlife fencing along Appin Rd to get our unique wildlife that travel from the Georges River side of Appin Road to the Nepean River side of Appin Road so they can get from A to B without any chance of becoming road kill . Mt Gilead along Appin Rd has 1700 to 2000 homes in stage 1 and there is also discussion with developers and council about a further 8000 homes on this Mt Gilead site . So if we get the over and under passes over passes and wildlife fencing we would like on Appin road we will be filtering our beautiful unique wildlife into suburbia putting them in more danger of dog attacks and cars in the estate area . So what we need is a lot more though and correct planning by developers, state government and the minister of planning be4 this environmental destruction goes ahead destroying wildlife habitat and corridors on the Mt Gilead proposed site
We will keep fighting the fight
ALL DEVELOPMENT MUST BE PUT ON HOLD UNTIL PROTECTION MEASURES ARE PUT IN PLACE TO SAVE OUR DISEASE FREE KOALAS AND OUR OTHER UNIQUE WILDLIFE FROM EXTINCTION IN THE MACARTHUR REGION.
