Suicidal kids need to be treated like a priority, not left to wait in emergancy for 3 days for a bed 30 minutes away from home. How many lives could have been saved if children had the same recources as adults?

Why should I not have the same help as someone who is 10 years older than me who is going through the same problems? 

Recently my family has been impacted by the lack of mental health resources in Penrith. Because Nepean Hospital don't have dedicated Youth Mental Health facilities, I have found that Westmead is our closest option, which means that ambulances have had to be used to transport paitents which impacts on other emergencies in our area. 

Penrith is growing due to the many developments happening here. Our hospital is not keeping up with the demand and planned improvements don't include Childrens Mental Health. Westmead Childrens hospital only has 8 beds for Childrens Mental Health and with a growing prevalance of these issues, it is essential that we have the resources that we need. We have Headspace and Child Youth Mental Health Service provided here but we need to have a safe space for younger people to stay during crisis. 

We already have great facilities for adults and the elderly with Mental Health issues at Nepean Hopsitals, please sign this petition to demand the same for youth so other families won't need to face the same difficulties we have. It is a matter of life and death.
