Allow the use of the modern Casio fx-80s scientific calculator range

Allow the use of the modern Casio fx-80s scientific calculator range
The Issue
Many calculations required in Geological examinations in are complex and not suited for the 'Texas Instruments 30XA'
The calculator that has been assigned to us, that we MUST purchase is quite honestly not good compared to the normal Casio ones that we are all used to. It only has one line of text, so if you made an error in the working then you have to start the whole sum again. This is rather time consuming. They say it comes with an instruction manual but we need to revise, not learn how to use a calculator. The physics economics departments have allowed other calculators to be used. Some of the physicists are doing planetary, so it seems like for the same paper, we arent allowed to have the same calculator. This seems like a massive disadvantage.
Rant over, thanks for signing (and reading if you got so far) and good luck with revision and exams. See you guys round the deapartment.
