No Novato Costco Mega Gas Station March/Rally Event

Hello all! I am proud to let you know that this Saturday, February 20th, 2021 we will be having a march/rally on Costco. In addition, the planning commission will be holding their meeting on Monday Feb. 22nd at 7pm. Make sure that your voice is heard and please attend! Here are the details for the march/rally event:

SATURDAY at 1 p.m.: Residents join together to tell Novato City Council no Costco mega gas station in Marin

Novato residents will be out in force Saturday, Feb. 20, to rally and march against the proposed mega gas station at the Costco in Vintage Oaks. Recognizing that our house -- Earth -- is on fire, we will gather at the Rowland Blvd. Park & Ride (108 Rowland Blvd.) at 1 p.m. After a brief rally with calls to action, attendees will march to Costco, returning back to the Park & Ride after marching alongside the threatened wetlands.

Groups including 350 Bay Area, 350 Marin and Green Novato are organizing the rally, calling on all area residents to oppose the construction of a 28-pump gas station at the Novato Vintage Oaks Costco. 

Those joining the actions will call on the Novato City Council to reject the plans, to implement Novato’s Climate Emergency Resolution, and to transition to a clean and green economy now.

To promote safety given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the action will take place outdoors and have a physical distancing plan, and attendees will be required to wear masks.
