In our case this meant our four year old being able to join his six year old sister at the same school. Places for the 2017/18 intake were still awarded on the unfair criteria but again many families won on appeal. The council have now reverted back to the fair criteria after the school adjudicator judgement against them. Sadly however some families from both intakes still failed to secure a place due to appeal panels misjudging the facts of the case. There are children who would and should have been awarded places under the old criteria who despite two appeals remain in limbo due to council action and subsequent inaction. We happily continue to support those families who wish to continue to fight. There are also still ongoing challenges regarding the lawfulness of the change which you will see updates on through our facebook page.
