1.) Samstag sind wieder 12 Hunde hier in Nürnberg glücklich gelandet.Und von ihren neuen Herrchen in Empfang genommen worden. (Vorprüfung wie immer). In Moldawien hat die Kastrationsaktion begonnen. 20 Hunde konnten aus der Tötung geholt und an einem Tag kastriert werden. Ein RIESENPROBLEM ist - Moldawien ist nicht in der EU.. Gesetzlich ganz übel.....

Wer kann vielleicht Auskunft geben, woher man ein Fang bzw. Netzgewehr (netgun) leihen oder günstig erwerben kann? Da viele Hunde und Katzen sehr schwer verletzt sind und es sehr schwierig ist diese zur Rettung einzufangen? (aktuell eine schwer verletzte Gans)

Dear Mr. Antonio Guterres,
please find below a heartbreaking report on the situation of a brave group of animal protectors and their experience after Yulin/China. We thank you so much for carefully studying and acting accordingly.
After a politically charged week with both the United Nations and the UK government addressing animal welfare issues, I finally feel some hope.
The last few weeks have been pure misery. The very idea that our team had to return to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival ten years after my first visit filled me with horror.
There is no heroic feeling in going to slaughterhouses and seeing the pleading eyes of dogs being brutally killed or exposing atrocities by dog farms. It is even less important to know that they cannot all be saved.
Social media users and dear supporters follow our journey, share posts, gasp in horror and share tears. You are so nice. But even with 21 incredible souls saved, as we did this year, our team is making the long journey back to Beijing feeling lazy.
As caring Chinese vets examine the dogs, our hearts sink to learn that they have tested positive for four infectious diseases: canine flu, parvo, canine coronavirus, and distemper. We know it's only time to lose one or more.
Yulin is just one example of the atrocities we have witnessed in the dog and cat meat trade across Asia. There is intensive dog breeding in South Korea, in which dogs are fed rotting waste, pumped full of antibiotics and left unprotected in the heat and cold, eardrums burst to prevent them from barking. Cats are not doing much better. Kittens dipped in hot water to make soup. They are skinned alive in Vietnam, bones crushed into a paste to cure a variety of diseases. Sometimes, as in China, they are stolen pets; Sometimes dogs were farmed in South Korea or just the pathetic sight of Cambodian life being traded for cheap plastic buckets and bowls. The suffering is endless and relentless.
Our China animal shelter is full of dogs and cats; We wonder if we will ever find a home and it seems like nobody cares, not even in the pandemic. Not about dogs and cats and certainly not about zoonoses or how this complete disregard for animal welfare can affect their health.

There are so many things you can do to make a difference.
And it doesn't stop there. This week ministers from around the world will meet at the United Nations to share their progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. They will discuss how we can really make a difference to the environment, our youth and our everyday lives after the worst of the pandemic. Our statement on animal welfare and the dog meat trade will be distributed to all participants. The realities of this terrible trade cannot be excused as cultural and will eventually be officially recorded and discussed.
No child should grow up believing that animal cruelty is okay and that sentience must be recognized worldwide.
We sincerely hope that our suggestions will be accepted, but I am grateful to be heard now.
