Stop Norwich Council removing original Victorian bollards from conservation areas.

Stop Norwich Council removing original Victorian bollards from conservation areas.
Norwich City Council are removing original iron bollards (c. 1880) from Conservation areas of the city. Residents of Clarendon Rd - which lies in Heigham Grove Conservation Area - are fighting the 'battle of the bollards'! We are shocked that the Council are attempting to remove two bollards from an alleyway liking Clarendon Rd to Neville St, and are appalled that they have already removed two bollards nearby. In effect, the council is riding roughshod over Conservation legislation to remove authentic, character- giving items from our streets. Once these beautiful objects are gone, they will never be returned, and a significant bit of local heritage will be unnecessarily lost. Please sign to prevent the Council implementing further action.
